• You can move records to a new case file. Select two or more and click MOVE TO A NEW CASE FILE on the toolbar or use the first row of the menu on the cork. A link card to the new case file takes their place. Threads to records that stay on the board tie to the link card.
• A link card to a case file made on another device shows that case file's name. It used to read MISSING FROM THE CABINET until the cabinet opened again.

• Renaming the office or changing its wall or cabinet shows up in every browser in the room at once. Phones used to keep the old look until the office reopened.
• Browsers in the room get a COPY button beside each address and an office chip with the office's name. Only the host can switch offices.
• When a device joins an office for the first time, the name prompt suggests the name it used last.
• The backup chip keeps counting the time since the last backup. A failed backup shows the reason from the host.
• Undoing a delete puts the record back where it sat in the pile. Closing a heading or a caption without a change adds no undo step.
• Posting a sign-up sheet or a notice keeps what another device changed while the form was open.
• The pin map's tabs are paper again and the ticks along the board's edge are back. Versions 1.2.0 to 1.4.0 drew the tabs on the wood without the ticks.
• On Linux, the closed office notice no longer covers the window's close button.
• Reduced motion stops the transitions on buttons and menus too.
• The host closes a board a minute after the cabinet last uses it. Opening the cabinet used to keep every board open until the office closed.
• The code behind the board and the host is reorganized. Nothing changes in use.

• Sign-up sheets. Each slot has a job, a time and a number of places. People sign their names on the lines. If two people take the last place at once, the second name becomes a reserve and moves up when a place frees.
• Documents. Any file can hang on the board in a manila sleeve. PDFs and text files open in the browser and other files download as a copy.
• Edits made on a device while it was off the network reach the host when it reconnects. They used to stay on that device.
• The person's name is now the largest line on an index card and prints in colour.
• The cabinet room shows how to start a board until the office has its first case file.
• Dependencies are updated with their latest security fixes.

• Photos and videos are back in their white frames with the caption at the foot. Version 1.3.0 showed them bare with the caption over the picture.
• A picture keeps its own shape when it first loads. Version 1.3.0 cropped every picture to the same landscape box.
• Resizing a photo or video keeps its proportions and its frame.

• The board works by touch. On a tablet or phone, hold on empty cork to open the add menu and double tap to edit. Drag from a pin to make a thread, pinch to zoom and hold a record to add it to the selection.
• Controls are larger on touch screens. The board moves out of the way of the on-screen keyboard.
• The app opens without browser bars from a home screen icon. A full-screen chip hides them for the session.
• A chalk outline and a progress bar show where an uploading photo will land.
• The host rejects a malformed update from the network and keeps running. Pasting into the note editor can no longer carry in script.

• Contact cards look like rotary file cards punched at the foot. Choose from eight layouts and two inks and add a mark.
• Cards from the same organization share one design.
• Cards have a department field.
• One editor handles new and existing cards and shows a preview of the card beside the fields.
• Cards on the board cannot be typed into directly. The EDIT tab at the foot opens the editor.
• The manual on its hook shows its spiral binding. The calendar shows more of the month.

• One machine can hold several offices. Each has its own case files and the host serves one at a time.
• The filing cabinet is now a row of cabinets: three drawer styles, a plan chest for the archive and a bay for the calendar and the manual.
• The index holds contact cards. They appear on the cabinet lid, on the desk and on the board.
• The board zooms with a trackpad pinch, keeps moving briefly after a fast pan and pans with the mouse wheel.
• The app and the manual use the same icons.
• Links into the manual open at the right place. The glossary shows page numbers.

• A field manual hangs on the folders wall. It runs to seventeen pages with twenty-five figures. A note on the desk saves it as a PDF.
• Event cards come in four kinds: meeting, workshop, gathering and deadline.
• The wall calendar lifts its corner to show the month under it.
• Pin maps. A map or picture on white card that holds its own pushpins.
• Threads attach to the pin. Backspace deletes the selected thread.
• The window drops its title bar so the board fills the whole window.
• Case files are renamed on their card. The drawer no longer edits the name.
• A board with a pin map shows a map seal on its drawer.

OrgKit now runs on Linux.

Linux. There are two AppImages. One is for Intel and AMD machines. The other is for 64-bit ARM machines such as the Raspberry Pi 4 and 5 and ARM Chromebooks. Each is about 85 MB because it carries its own browser engine. It needs nothing else installed and also runs on read-only systems like the Steam Deck and the atomic Fedora spins. It needs glibc 2.35 or newer: Ubuntu 22.04, Debian 12, Fedora 36 or later. There is no .deb and the AppImages are not signed. Check them against the SHA-256 on the download page.

• The drawers are 3D again. The desktop app had been drawing the cabinet flat.
• A drawer's tabs form one strip. Moving the pointer from colour to Archive used to cross a gap and shut the drawer.
• The Archive and Delete labels are sharp on ordinary displays. They were blurry before.
• The colour tab shows only the colour chips.
• The wall calendar shows a different picture each month and has two new ones. Weeks start on Monday in every locale.

Boards open the same on macOS and Linux.

The folders page is now a filing cabinet with one drawer per folder.

• A drawer slides out when you point at it. Its controls are paper tabs beside it for colour, Archive and Delete. The old buttons sometimes missed clicks.
• Archived folders sit taped shut and greyed out at the bottom of the cabinet.
• The room gets wallpaper, a calendar with a new print each month, a clock on the lid and a plant that moves as the page scrolls.
• The version number is on a brass plate at the base of the cabinet. Click it to check for updates.

Folder templates are removed. A folder that was a template is now an ordinary folder and its boards are unchanged. Exporting a single folder is removed along with its menu. Backing up everything works as before.

Version 0.7.0 can read boards saved by this release.

Mostly reliability fixes.

• A board that cannot open now shows a message. It used to show an empty board and a spinner. OrgKit keeps trying in the background and opens the board once another copy lets go of it.
• Exports record which version of OrgKit wrote them.
• The storage engine is updated. A board that only partly loaded is never saved over the copy on disk.

Boards saved by this release open in 0.5.0 and 0.6.0 but not in 0.4.0 or earlier.

• You can see where other people are typing. Their cursor in the text carries their name and colour.
• Search highlights the matching word inside a long note.
• The window remembers its size, position and whether it was maximised.
• Opening OrgKit again brings the existing window forward. It used to start a second copy that could not load any board.
• Scrubbing through video and audio works. Dragging through a long recording jumps to where you let go.
• The libraries OrgKit is built on are updated.

• Click a pin and then an empty part of the board to add something at the end of a thread. A menu asks what to add. The new note, photo or list arrives already tied.
• Images and videos take a handwritten caption under the frame. Edit it while the object is selected. An empty caption is hidden.
• The Connect dialog shows a QR code that opens the board on a phone. It also shows which network the host is on and its Wi-Fi name.
• Notes start at the same text size as todo items. The note editor switches between handwriting and a monospace font.
• A simpler interface. Folder cards lose the peeking paper and get a shorter tab. The board toolbar is slimmer and icon buttons show only the icon.

• Check for updates. A button beside the version number on the folders screen fetches one small file from orgk.it and tells you whether a newer build exists. It only runs when you press it.

• Todo lists. Anyone in the room can add items and tick them off. When two people add items at once, both are kept. Each tick shows who made it. Lists export as task lists.
• Drawer labels sum up what the board holds. The pull shows wear as the board fills up. A drawer nobody has opened for weeks gathers dust.
• The case-file card has its pin in the top right corner like the link cards.

Fixes to the filing cabinet.

• Opening a drawer no longer hides the drawers above it on some machines.
• The file inside a drawer slides out with the drawer. It used to appear only once the drawer stopped.
• Moving the pointer across a full cabinet no longer slows the app down.
• Tapping a drawer no longer flashes a highlight. Holding it no longer selects text. Clicking its name still edits it.
• Link cards have their pin in the top right corner where it does not cover the title.

The first build is macOS only. Windows and Linux builds will follow once each has been tested on real hardware.

• Boards. Pin notes, photos, video, labels and polls. Draw string between the things that connect.
• Folders for boards and links between boards.
• Live editing over the local network. Everyone can work on the same board at once without overwriting each other.
• Search across a board.
• Boards are stored as files on the host machine. Nothing is sent anywhere else.

The macOS build is signed and notarized. macOS asks about incoming connections the first time you host a board. Say yes so others can reach it.
